I was lamenting yesterday to another photographer that I’m not happy with my images on most of the days, but I go ahead and post a shot everyday. She told me, “We can’t be great every day.” So on a day like today when I’m focusing on other matters (like getting The Master Tax Guide and my first tax return of the season!), the process is what matters – being in the habit of shooting and acclimating to this camera and on some days – having a great shot.

Love it, Em! Cool shot!
Thank you!
I didn’t focus on the book. It was the boa and lamp that captivated my attention and reflected your versatile personality. As one artist to another, GREAT SHOT!!
This IS a beautiful shot. . .but I must agree that it would have been better without a tax guide???? With all the great books you own, I can’t believe you chose this one!
Yes, I have many great books, but the significance of this one is like getting a Christmas present in January! This tax guide is known as the tax preparer’s Bible. When preparing taxes, it’s the most useful resource – and makes for good bedtime reading to prep for the season. I always look forward to getting my Master Tax Guide, hence it being featured in a shot.
Emily, I love this photo! It is a very interesting portrayal of a great subject. It could only be better if the book had been the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide for State and Local Governments.
Oh, PLEASE!
